Creating your perfect new smile with dental veneers takes lots of planning. It all begins during our first cosmetic consultation where we will talk to you to understand what you want to achieve. We will carryout a dental examination and offer our expert advice and create a smile plan with you in mind.
Your dental veneer treatment will consist of two appointments. During the first appointment, your teeth will be prepared ready for your veneers. This involves removing a small amount of dental enamel from the surface of your teeth. Temporary veneers will be placed while your permanent ones are being created in our dental lab.
When your permanent, porcelain veneers arrive with us from our expert dental lab, you will come back to us for your second appointment. We will remove your temporary veneers and try-in the new ones so that we can check the fit and the appearance together. We are able to make adjustments to the shape or shade or your teeth if required. Once you are happy, we will permanently fit your new veneers.
Dental veneer treatment requires removing a small amount of dental enamel to allow the veneers to be placed. We always take a minimally invasive approach to all of our dentistry at Pennington Dental, and we will only remove the smallest amount of tooth structure possible. However, it does mean that the treatment is irreversible.
Opting for dental veneer treatment is a commitment that each patient needs to feel completely sure about, which is why we offer a free consultation for you to ask us plenty of questions to help you to make the right decision for you.
There are alternative treatments to dental veneers that can help you achieve your dream smile, such as teeth straightening and composite bonding, which we can discuss during your free consultation.
Dental veneers are made from porcelain, which is long lasting, strong and stain resistant. With good care and maintenance, you should be able to keep them for 15-20 years before replacements are required.
You can care for your dental veneers in the same way as you would with natural teeth - by brushing them with a fluoride toothpaste for two minutes, twice a day, and flossing daily.
Dental veneers cannot be whitened with tooth whitening gel. If you would like your whiter teeth, a course of teeth whitening treatment is recommended prior to dental veneer treatment; we can then match your dental veneers to your new tooth shade.
Send us your details and we will contact you to arrange a date and time for your appointment
