At Pennington Dental, we pride ourselves in providing high quality care for the whole family. We treat the full spectrum of ages, and are particularly keen at the preventive aspects of dental care. The relaxed friendly atmosphere at our practices makes everyone feel at ease.

Many of our patients come for regular 6 monthly check ups and hygienist visits, therefore making sure they keep their teeth in great condition and require much less if any dental work.

At the check-up visits we go through your medical history, check the health of your soft tissues, your teeth and gums and carry out oral cancer screening. We may need to take some radiographs (xrays) of your teeth and we will discuss the findings with you so that we can ensure you fully understand why a certain treatment is required.

Oral Health Education

At Pennington Dental, we believe that prevention is better than cure. We focus on prevention by ensuring that our patients know how to look after their teeth and gums. Dr Jamall, his team and our hygienists, will provide you with oral hygiene instructions explaining the best techniques to clean your teeth and gums. We will also give you diet advice and smoking cessation advice if required. We offer a monthly payment plan (Denplan) that covers you for your routine exams, cleaning visits and a discount of our usual fees to ensure you maintain your teeth for life

Fissure Sealants

A fissure sealant is a tooth coloured varnish that is applied on children’s molars to reduce the risk of developing decay on those teeth. The biting surfaces of molars have many grooves and pits and they are difficult for children to keep clean and therefore are prone to develop decay. The application of this varnish makes the tooth surface smoother, hence easier to clean and also reduces the likelihood of bacteria sticking on the tooth.

Fillings

We offer both high quality white fillings and stronger bonded silver fillings as well as laboratory fabricated white restorations that blend with and strengthen the remaining tooth structure.
